Founded in Tokyo, ONIBUS Coffee is built around the idea of connection through coffee — between people, places, and everyday moments. The name itself comes from the Portuguese word for “bus,” reflecting coffee as a meeting point where movement and community naturally intersect.
ONIBUS is known for a light and precise roasting style that emphasizes clarity, balance, and the natural character of each origin. The coffees are expressive without excess, highlighting sweetness and transparency while remaining approachable for daily drinking across pour-over, AeroPress, and espresso.
The focus on connection through coffee is what first drew my attention to ONIBUS. A visit to the Nakameguro Station store in 2023 left a lasting impression, and including ONIBUS as part of the debut roaster lineup feels like a natural extension of that experience — coffees chosen not only for quality, but for the philosophy behind them.
